Mission Peak. owwwie

2,500+ ft up, and 5.6 miles walked later, I conclude that hiking up Mission Peak is a tough cookie. I uhh.. won't be doing that for a while.

I got up at 6:10ish, got ready in about 10 minutes, and as told, called up about 3 people making sure they were awake. Jon I had to call 6 times, finding out later that they just didn't want to answer. Dan was sleeping of course, but got up. And Lenine, who frequently over slept for summer school, was wide awake. My oh my. We ended up starting the climb at about 7:45, when we planned to start at about 7. Which probably would've been a better idea.. but considering everyone but me slept at 3 or something, it wouldn't have been so bright.

The climb up, with plenty of breaks, lots of sweat, and minimal water, was not that bad actually. The last 100 yards were a killer though. Steep, and plenty of rocks. But when you get up there.. you're just so far up and when you look down at the trail, you just can't really believe you have to go back down. hahaa.. It was nice though. You could see the mountains across and got an aerial view of plenty of cities. It was nice. Until you started to go down.

Okay so, I wore Converses, don't ask why. After going up 2.8 miles, I felt no pain. Going down the first 100 yards, I felt blister after blister on my toes. It was a killer. And I started to get a cramp. I slowed Kevin down, but that's what he gets for being with me. teee heee. <3

When we got down, man oh man we just wanted to throw ourselves in the showers. A lot of us were just plain gross and sweaty. We all got dropped off to take showers and met back at Lenine's for some burger making and eating, and movie watching/tvwatching /game cube playing fun. Yup. Dan dropped Kev home and we just didn't feel like going home yet so we went to get QCup. :P After home.. I did nothing.

But, my dad just put some Bengay on my calves to ease the pain. hahaha.. Nice workout today eh guys? :)
