we need new administrators

theres a really big problem at mhs. and it's basically summed up this way: the administrators.
interact held a CHARITY dance today at MHS. all attendees were charged $5 ALL of which was going to go to Pump Aid, an organization that builds water pumps in Africa to help the people there drink, plant vegetable gardens, and use for their basic day to day lives. and the interact clubs of area 5 (mission, milpitas, irvington, and kennedy), did this out of the goodness of our hearts. we've been holding this charity dance for more than 5 years. We've raised about $1,000 each year. This year, our final amount of donations was just over $1,800.
all of this money is going to Pump Aid. Our expenses for secuity guards, janitors, and other things will be taken care of by our clubs' money.
and before i go on, i'd like to say that the dance went on just fine. no fighting, drinking, or any of that stuff we love to hate when organizing events. all attendees were gone from the area within half an hour. clean-up was done in half an hour as well. there was no vandalism, no drinking, no fighting, and no smoking.
however, the officers of milpitas high's interact club might have just had the worse interact experience ever. despite having an unprecedented turnout, we experienced more trouble than we've ever had before. at previous charity dances, our officers were able to actually enjoy the dance, and end the dance smoothly. this was not the case this time around. i, myself, spent maybe 5 minutes maximum on the dance floor actually dancing.
maybe less.
all of my time was spent dealing with our lovely security gaurds and administrators. these security guards, which i might add that we are paying (with money from our own club's account), caused so much trouble that, if i weren't mistaken, they were actually our biggest and ONLY problem. our "administrator," who insisted on having power trips and trying to control things that were already controlled caused even more frustration--this "administrator" who was never even asked to come.
i refuse to pay security guards to yell at us, the organizers, for simply doing our job to raise money for a charity.
I would like to just like to emphasize that this was a chairty dance--meaning, it was for the benefit of those who really need help. it was held for those who have probably never even had $5 to spare for a dance--those who would be thankful for any help they received.
And here are our administrators who will not let a couple people in. by golly, i would not have cared if people came in for free if it meant getting rid of all the trouble we had to go through. it was simply a chairty dance.
if there had been any problem regarding missing money, would it really matter? let me say one more time.. this was a CHAIRTY DANCE. EVERYTHING WE RECEIVED WILL BE DONATED. it is absolutely pointless to be so strict and so unreasonable for such thing as a charity dance.
i'm deeply disappointed in the guards and administrators who were at the dance today. it is a shame that we have such relentless and uncooperative people running our school. there's no sympathy, or trust in the human race anymore. i fear that all students have been unfairly treated and will continually be treated like this until administrators realize that they are not here to dictate, and that students are capable of running the show.
